Inspiration and Motivation

It helps to be passionate about whatever it is that you’re striving for in life. What’s the old saying, find something you love to do and if someone will pay you to do that, then you’ve found the perfect job.

OK, my big sales appointment was PURPOSELY scheduled so as NOT to interfere with the big NASCAR race in town. Well, wouldn’t you know the darn race rained out and postponed until the next day - the day of my big Open House. Grrr… I’ve never been a fan. As George Carlin says in his “Sports” bit, driving around in a circle doesn’t impress me! It’s the same five Rednecks who win every time.

I think they should implement some of Dave Letterman’s Top 10 ways to make NASCAR more interesting, like drive a lap, do a shot.

More power to ya if you enjoy coming home from the race deaf with a pounding headache and covered in black soot from the tire rubber. I did it once and that’s enough.

I have a big sales appointment tomorrow - wish me luck! I want to be able to work my side business full-time and not have to be a desk jockey at a day job. That’s one of my main goals.

The month of March did not go quite as planned, as far as reaching my goals. It’s OK, though. Life happens and all you need to do is get back up when you fall down. April looks promising. Lots of appointments on the books and plenty of opportunities. More updates soon!

Oh wonderful, I ended up coming down with a cold. Last night I stayed in to try and recuperate. Sometimes this happens when you burn the candle at both ends for too long. The sales appointments over the weekend went well and I have more on Saturday. Hopefully my cold will subside before then. I’m all congested right now. My copy of Charles Givens’ Super Self arrived and I can’t wait to read it!

So far my goal-reaching project is coming along nicely. I’ve ordered my fitness book, I’ve got sales appointments on the books, and with daylight savings time here three weeks early, it seems like I have more time available to work.

I have booked and filled my calendar with sales appointments for the month of March. I re-read my copy of Lisa Diane’s book (see link at left) and noticed that she recommends for us to read the book by Charles J. Givens called so I ordered a copy for myself on Amazon. Lisa said this book changed her life.

I’ll be implementing all the time management skills that I can think of, including filling the freezer with frozen dinners so I don’t have to spend valuable sales time cooking.

It’s time to take my own advice, time to take everything I know and all the information I’ve been sharing here about reaching your goals, and put it all into motion to reach my own goals.

My youngest sister is getting married in June and I’m in the wedding so I need to get in shape for that. I’m also going to remodel and put an addition on my house and get my singing career underway. Those are my immediate goals and I will work feverishly towards those three goals and nothing will stop me.
