Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us;
It’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

Note: This inspiring quote is taken from Marianne Williamson’s book A Return to Love. Though often quoted as part of Nelson Mandela’s moving inaugural speech, “Our Deepest Fear” does not appear in the speech. Marianne Williamson herself has commented on this mistaken attribution. Relay for Life, for Life?

Relay for Life events are always full of inspiring and motivating stories, but I’m sick of people being bamboozled into walking their butts off nonstop for the entire weekend for a cure that will never be found.

Do you really think the big pharmaceuticals are interested in finding a cure? No way! They’re making way more money by keeping people ill. Prescribe you one medication for something which causes you to develop side effects, and hey! Then they can prescribe you some more junk to “fix” those issues. And on and on it goes. By then you’re hooked on 5 or 6 pills daily and the cost of medications is huge.
There are cures for cancer. They are all natural and cannot be patented or profited from, so there’s no incentive to market them. There’s big money in selling prescription poisons, though! Why do you think every other ad on TV is for junk like Levitra, Celebrex, Lunesta, etc. My friend went on a cruise recently and during one of the sightseeing tours, the guide pointed out the huge Miami mansion of the developer of Vioxx. Sickening!

Just look at how the feds are cracking down on Michael Moore and his “Sicko” documentary. He’s had to send it to a secret location outside the country so it won’t be confiscated! Let me tell you, many eyes will be opened next month at Cannes when the film is debuted.
And I can’t wait for it to be shown in theaters in the US!
Maybe then, people will stop needlessly dying of cancer, and from the dangerous chemo treatments and pills that are prescribed to “cure” them.

As Earl Pitts always says, Wake up, America!!!

Super Self

I have booked and filled my calendar with sales appointments for the month of March. I re-read my copy of Lisa Diane’s book (see link at left) and noticed that she recommends for us to read the book by Charles J. Givens called so I ordered a copy for myself on Amazon. Lisa said this book changed her life.

I’ll be implementing all the time management skills that I can think of, including filling the freezer with frozen dinners so I don’t have to spend valuable sales time cooking.
